Industry Placement Criteria
To be considered for an Industry Placement, students must meet specific academic and skill requirements.
Students must meet the following general criteria to be considered for an Industry Placement. Additional qualifications may be required for specific placements.
- Achieve an above average ranking in the Industry Placement Reference Form
- Demonstrate leadership and other personal qualities relevant to responsibilities in Industry Placements
- Achieve a minimum IELTS score of Band 5 or TOEFL 500/173 where applicable to the Industry Placement.
- Demonstrate proven skills in communications, building interpersonal relationships, and competency in using MS Office (Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint).
- Have a CGPA of at least 3.0 (or be in good-standing for first term students)
- Accept adherence to the CUD Industry Placement Code of Conduct and the regulations of the organization providing the Industry Placement.
I meet the requirements mentioned above. How can I apply?
A student applying for an Industry Placement must submit by the application deadline:
- A resume
- 2 Passport size photographs, a passport copy, and a visa copy.
- An Industry Placement Reference Form. (Download the application form)
- His/her latest transcript and current semester course schedule (both signed and stamped by the CUD Registrar).
Students will also be interviewed by the Industry Placements Officer and by the company offering the Industry Placement.
