When you access the Library catalog from either the Library homepage or Moodle you are given three options for searching.
On the top left you can do a Quick Search by typing in your term and checking that the Anywhere button is marked and click on Search.
Further down on the left you can do a Browse search if you know the author or title of the book you are looking for. Type in your query and choose author or title from the drop down box and click the search button. Please note that doing a subject search may not give you the results you are looking for as the subject search is a search limited by a set list of subjects. You may do better by doing an anywhere search from the Quick Search or Keyword Search areas.
You can perform a Keyword Search in the middle of the page. Here you have many options and you can combine search terms. If you are unsure of the spelling of an author’s name you should try searching for a word in the title. Our collection is relatively small so an anywhere search may be your best bet unless you know the exact title or author’s name.
Once you have a result list you can scroll though it to find what you are looking for. You will need the call number so that you can find the book on the Library shelves. Below are call numbers as you see them in the catalog and below that is the way you will find the call number on the book shelves.
Call number examples:
