Canadian University Dubai Celebrates Canada Day

July 1st 2019: Canadian University Dubai proudly came together to mark the 152nd Canada Day on July 1st, in a grand celebration to commemorate the birth of the nation. Dressed in the Canadian colors of red and white, the whole community gathered in the campus grounds to join in observing this momentous annual occasion.

The celebrations commenced with the UAE and Canadian National Anthems, followed by the cutting of a cake, led by University President and Vice Chancellor, Prof. Karim Chelli. The event continued with themed games, while the infamous Canadian dish, poutine, was on offer for all to enjoy.

Canadian University Dubai holds its annual Canada Day celebrations in recognition of its long-standing and ever-growing ties with the country. Since its establishment in 2006, the University has provided a portal to Canadian higher education through its partnership agreements with institutions across Canada. All academic programs are based on the Canadian curriculum and each has its own transfer partner institution in North America.
