October 16th, 2018: Top CUD students in E-Business and Accounting paid a visit to the Gulf Information Technology Exhibition (GITEX) at the World Trade Center in a bid to expand their horizons and introduce themselves to new emergent technology destined to shape their future career directions.
Accompanied by Dr. Anas R. Najdawi, E-Business Specialist, Associate Professor and Head of E-Business at Canadian University Dubai, they met CUD Alumni who were already hard at work for SAP; a Middle-East based Software Company dealing with new business solutions.
CUD have been designated “SAP Next-Gen Chapter” lighthouse campus.
The students had the opportunity to tour the exhibition and explore immersive demonstrations showcasing new technology, designed to make a major impact on the world of business in the next few decades. These up-and-coming entrepreneurs had a chance to discuss the future of the digital economy and to theorize about future employment opportunities.
Lylia Chaouch, one of the students said “the chance to explore technology that I never knew existed was an eye-opening experience for me and my colleagues. There’s nothing negative to say about GITEX, we all had an extremely beneficial time and we had the possibility of seeing what the future holds for us.”
