We are thrilled to announce that on Tuesday, February 6th, Canadian University Dubai (CUD) will have the privilege of hosting the honourable Dr. Andrew Furey, Premier of Newfoundland and Labrador, Canada in the HUB atrium from 2:00 PM- 3:00 PM.

He has since steered the province through challenging times, including the COVID-19 pandemic. His government's swift actions, such as the strategic dismantling of Nalcor Energy for a more streamlined energy sector and hands-on leadership during the vaccine rollout, showcase his commitment to responsive governance.

Premier Furey is also a renowned orthopaedic trauma surgeon, an educator at Memorial University’s School of Medicine, and a humanitarian recognized by the Canadian Red Cross. He embodies the spirit of public service and the pursuit of excellence.

The afternoon's agenda is designed to engage and inspire, featuring:

  • A live art performance by Canadian artist Sylvain Tremblay
  • A musical celebration of Canadian culture by Sanaz Sotoudeh
  • Insightful discourse by Premier Furey on life and opportunities in Canada
