The Faculty of Architecture & Interior Design presents
International Virtual Symposium
New Sustainability Practices in Architecture, Engineering, and Construction
Organized by the Canadian University Dubai (CUD) in collaboration with Sherbrook University (Canada) and La Rochelle University (France).
The symposium aims to address the latest advancements in the field, stressing on the importance of sustainable material and construction techniques in architecture. It also seeks to educate attending professionals, officials, educators, and university students from the related fields (architecture, civil engineering, material engineering, etc.) which will be invited from a variety of municipalities, firms, and universities within the region, to inspire innovation, and fuel the future in sustainable buildings. The symposium will attempt to highlight practical ways in which we can improve in this domain moving forward.
- Disseminate information on recent innovations in the field.
- Strengthen the multidisciplinary approach to sustainable architecture and engineering design and implementation.
- Encourage further collaboration between architecture and engineering to create a more sustainable society and built environment.
- Strengthen the research-practice relationship to move towards better architecture and engineering methods.
- Promote further research and discussion in this field within the region.
- Encourage the incorporation of sustainability as a concept into architecture in the region.
