Canadian University Dubai (CUD) is finding new ways to open its doors. In addition to a new campus and ensuring proper safety precautions to minimize and prevent COVID-19, CUD is planning for Fall 2020.
Next Generation Campus
Amidst adjusting to the COVID-19 pandemic, CUD is on track to open its next-generation campus at City Walk by Meraas. After almost 15 years since first opening its doors in 2006, the City Walk campus will take the university’s teaching capabilities into the future with its hi-tech classrooms and new approaches to teaching and learning. Students from all over the world will continue to benefit from world-renowned Canadian curriculum and North American connections to education and employment in modernized and inspiring learning spaces.
COVID-19 Financial Relief
Fall 2020 requires a compassionate response to COVID-19. CUD recognizes that the pandemic imposed a financial burden on families in our community. To help where possible, CUD is offering a 30% reduction in fees to both new and returning students across all undergraduate and graduate programs for Fall 2020. This fee reduction is in addition to a variety of applicable scholarships, such as academic excellence, financial hardship, sport and talent, and special needs. Coupled with these scholarships, students may reduce fees up to 60%. CUD student recruitment officers are available online or by phone to answer questions and assist with admissions. Pay 25% of the tuition by June 30th, 2020.
Plan Studies Around Travel Restrictions
Canadian University Dubai also understands that COVID-19 travel restrictions are impacting study abroad plans. As an institution accredited by the UAE Ministry of Education – Higher Education Affairs, CUD is a gateway to global education. Students can transfer to universities in Canada and around the world - allowing them to keep their studies in motion by doing one or two semesters at CUD before the travel restrictions are removed.
CUD is facilitating early admission procedures for High School students due to the impact on end reports and examinations due to COVID-19. Prospective students are encouraged to speak to a registration officer to learn more about how to receive a conditional acceptance for Fall 2020.
Virtual Open House
To assist with the above information and general program inquiries, CUD offers a weekly virtual Open House. Prospective and returning students can join online to ask questions, learn about programs and offers, and attend sessions about special topics. Please join the next virtual Open House at 04:00pm (GMT+4) on May 20, 2020, and check back weekly for new topics and information.
