The Academic Advising office is set up to help students understand degree requirements and assist them with clarifying career options. Each student is assigned an academic advisor on the basis of their major who assists them in identifying academic goals, selecting an appropriate major, and picking individual courses. Advisors will also guide students to select appropriate courses to optimize their academic performance. The Faculty at CUD is also trained to help students interpret test and placement scores, to review the academic records of graduating students and to closely supervise the performance of students on academic probation.
During the registration period, students meet with an assigned faculty member or the school dean who assists students in identifying academic goals, selecting an appropriate major, and picking individual courses. Both undergraduate and postgraduate students are required to have advisor approval before submission of the registration form or add/drop form to the Office of the Registrar.
