    I have dreamt of being an architect from a very young age and looked at the various study options in the UAE before deciding on CUD. It is a career that requires passion and dedication, and this is exactly what the professors here inspire in us. The program is well-structured, allowing you to take a step-by-step approach to developing the fundamental skills, while in the studio sessions you are encouraged to take on different perspectives to find and develop your own style. Inspired by faculty in the school, I am currently pursuing the Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) certification, and hope to apply this knowledge to promote sustainable design in my future career.

    I am an infrastructure networks engineer responsible for designing and implementing full structural cabling and networks systems to world-class standards for new projects with DEWA. CUD helped me to acquire the necessary knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform successfully in this role. My course combined engineering skills with the solid business principles that are needed to thrive in an enterprise-oriented world.With a hands-on approach that delivered less theory and more technology, I gained plenty of practical experience to build a strong skill set and a firm grounding in key engineering disciplines.

    Having worked in digital marketing for a few years, I decided that I wanted to progress my career with a degree in e-business. Canadian University Dubai was one of the few universities around the region that was offering the program, and the friendly welcome and supportive environment I experienced was an important part of my decision to study here.

    As well as gaining hands-on experience of business operations through the University’s SAP Lab, I have been able to develop industry-relevant skills such as managing a team, through extracurricular activities and business-related competitions. With professors from so many different backgrounds I have experienced a wide range of perspectives and been inspired to take on new challenges in my own life.

The program offers insights into a wide variety of environmental issues, from waste management to marine conservations.

    All of the professors are extremely enthusiastic about the subject and make the learning process interactive and industry-relevant, through guest speakers and field trips that help us to understand how the academic theories are put into practice in the professional world. Outside the classroom, the University offers an excellent program of extracurricular activities that provides the perfect balance to academic life.

I chose to study network engineering because I wanted to learn the advanced technical skills to help me develop as a tech-entrepreneur.

    The teaching faculty have a high level of expertise and create a stimulating and supportive learning environment.Throughout the program we have had the opportunity to develop our practical networking skills, with access to all the relevant software.

    I am currently responsible for optimizing 3G and 4G technology and planning new network provision. My job is a pure engineering role and the courses I took at CUD, particularly in telecommunications, signals and systems, and broadband and communications, were extremely important in providing me with the theoretical understanding for the practical work I now undertake.
