Biography

Dr. Sana Tamzini is a highly experienced Assistant Professor of Interior Design and Architecture with over 22 years of academic and professional experience spanning Tunisia, France, Canada, and the United Arab Emirates. Her extensive teaching and research expertise includes design studios, furniture design, lighting design, materials and finishes, and CAD-based digital design. Dr. Tamzini’s academic background is further supported by strong experience in curriculum development and academic accreditation processes. 

A dedicated scholar, Dr. Tamzini’s work bridges the intersections of sustainable design, biophilic principles, cultural policy, heritage preservation, and social innovation. Her interdisciplinary approach has led to numerous international collaborations and publications, bringing a critical and culturally grounded perspective to contemporary interior design education. Prior to her current role at Canadian University Dubai (CUD), she served as a Visiting Assistant Professor at the American University of Ras Al Khaimah (AURAK), where she integrated pedagogy and research to advance forward-thinking design practices across the Mediterranean region and beyond.
