CUD Family Celebrates U.A.E Flag Day 2017

November 2, 2017 – Dubai, United Arab Emirates: The entirety of the CUD Family & Community came together earlier this morning under the guidance of the University's Chancellor Mr. Buti Saeed Al Ghandi, in a show of national pride to observe the National Flag Day for 2017.

The University joined in the celebrations being conducted by organizations and individuals across the country to show their pride as residents and citizens of the U.A.E.

A large turnout honouring the UAE stood as the UAE national Anthem played while the country's flag was raised by two of the University's CUD Students.

Several of the community's Emirati students participating in the event this morning expressed their pride in being citizens of this country with one student saying “This is the day that we reaffirm our loyalty to the U.A.E flag, which is a symbol of the country’s greatness.”

Joining the celebrations was CUD Emirati graduate, now a student advisor at the University, Amal Darwish Al Zarooni, who also expressed her love and affection for the U.A.E and said “Whenever I see my flag, I thank Allah that I am living in the U.A.E, which is a peaceful country made up of seven Emirates with one heart.”

The event concluded with a short word from Chancellor Mr. Buti thanking the community for their attendance.
