Research and Innovation

SHSDIS’s research agenda is driven by a shared commitment to improving health, sustainability, and quality of life through interdisciplinary inquiry and practical impact. Across its research groups, the school examines the complex links between environmental change and human health, strengthens prevention of occupational injury and illness, advances population-level understanding of disease and policy, and explores innovative health systems and technologies that improve access, efficiency, and care quality. Together, these groups reflect a strong focus on solving real-world problems through evidence-based research, collaboration, and innovation. Their work supports healthier communities, safer workplaces, more responsive health systems, and more sustainable futures, while contributing meaningful knowledge to the UAE and beyond.
