USSUN Leadership Workshop at CUD | Saturday, September 26 – Monday, September 28, 2026 | CUD Campus 

The Silk-Road Universities Network (SUN) brings together universities to encourage the exchange of ideas across national and cultural boundaries. Its student organization, the United Students of the Silk-Road Universities Network (USSUN), is an association of student representatives from SUN member universities who participate in projects and volunteer activities.

Canadian University Dubai will host the USSUN Leadership Workshop, a three-day program designed to bring together USSUN executives, SUN Secretariat coordinators, the USSUN Advisor, and CUD students. Invited representatives are from SUN member universities in Greece, Italy, Korea, and Poland.

The workshop aims to strengthen collaboration within the network, prepare for the upcoming SUN General Assembly and academic conference scheduled for November, increase CUD students’ understanding of SUN and USSUN, and support the development of future USSUN activities.

  • Workshop on active and productive participation by CUD students in the SUN General Assembly in Algeria and Jordan
  • Leadership workshop for USSUN executives and SUN Secretariat coordinators
  • CUD campus tour
Sunday, September 27
  • Workshop on the strategic planning of future USSUN activities
  • Workshop preparing for the upcoming SUN General Assembly in Algeria
  • Dubai tour for visiting participants
Monday, September 28

Main event for CUD students

During this event, students will:
  • Attend a special lecture and Q&A session by Professor Dorota Sylwia Majewicz, USSUN Advisor, titled The Inner Mediator: Building Identity and Stability in Times of Uncertainty
  • Explore opportunities for active participation in the SUN General Assembly in Algeria and Jordan
  • Contribute to discussions about the strategic planning of future USSUN activities
  • Learn more about preparations for the upcoming SUN General Assembly in Algeria
