Biography

Dr. Hadeel Alhaddadeh is an internationally trained scholar, educator, and communications strategist with more than a decade of experience bridging academia, media, and global organizations. She earned her Ph.D. in Mass Communication (Strategic Communication) from the University of Florida, where her dissertation examined Orientalism and Islamophobia in U.S. media coverage of the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar.

Dr. Alhaddadeh holds three Master’s degrees:
•    M.S. in Public Relations, S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications, Syracuse University.
•    M.A. in International Relations / Public Diplomacy, Maxwell School of Citizenship & Public Affairs, Syracuse University.
•    M.A. in Advanced European & International Studies, Centre International de Formation Européenne (CIFE), France.

She also holds a Fulbright Diploma in Government & World Politics from Hamilton College, USA, and a B.A. in Applied English & Linguistics from the University of Jordan.

Areas of Expertise & Research
Dr. Alhaddadeh’s expertise spans strategic communication, political communication, public diplomacy, crisis and reputation management, intercultural communication, digital media strategies, and applications of AI in media research. She has published in journals such as the International Journal of Strategic Communication and the Public Relations Journal, and has presented at top international conferences including ICA and NCA. Her recent projects include studies on gender and politics, media framing in Middle East conflicts, fake news and media trust, and the influence of brand activism on consumer engagement.

Academic & Professional Roles
She has taught at University of Florida, Virginia Commonwealth University, An-Najah National University, and Hamilton College, teaching undergraduate and graduate courses including Public Relations Research, Strategic Communication, Crisis Communication, Media Writing, Business Communication, and Public Relations Campaigns.

Her industry background includes serving as:
•    Director of Strategic Communications & Public Affairs at An-Najah National University, where she led a team of 25 and co-organized TEDx An-Najah.
•    Communications & Outreach Consultant at the World Bank in Washington, DC.
•    Public Relations & New Media Specialist at Al-Jazeera English in Qatar.
