Dr.Alkhaldi trained in social and global public health policy. He received his Doctor of Public Health Policy and Systems from the University of Basel, the Swiss Tropical and Public Health Institute (Swiss TPH) in Switzerland where he led a comprehensive system analysis of the National Health Research System in several countries. During his 15 years in global public health, Dr.Alkhaldi has engaged in three different sectors, contributing to the development of health policies in the public sector; teaching and research; and NGO health projects and programs. His primary research interest in public health systems, HPSR, evidence-informed policymaking, HRSs, KTT, and digital health and HTA. He has served as an international expert and scientific collaborator on several committees and missions and has participated in multiple global organizations related to social and health policies and systems strengthening. Among these organizations are the WHO, COHRED, HSG, University of Basel-Swiss TPH, McGill University, Canadian Association for Global Health, Canadian Society for International Health, Emerging Voices for Global Health, and An-Najah National University. He is a member of the Higher Council for Innovation and Excellence of the State of Palestine. He is also a member and reviewer of the Editorial Boards of various international journals. Furthermore, he has travelled to and lectured in nearly 30 countries; published more than 50 articles in scientific journals, books, book chapters, policy analyses, reports, and popular media. Dr. Alkhaldi has awarded the Health System Impact Fellowship funded by the CIHR affiliated with McGill University to lead local and global research projects that aim at evaluating and strengthening the HTA, DHTs, and VBHC in HMLICs. Moreover, he has served the UNICEF-MENA and WHO-UHPR as a regional consultant and TAG expert member. Dr.Alkhaldi is also a member of scientific team of the WEF- Davos Alzheimer's Collaborative and Robert Koch Institute, contributing to provide evidence about strengthening health systems for Alzheimer's disease and building the evidence around public health emergency workforce and collaborative surveillance.
