Biography
Dr. Sahar Issa holds a PhD degree in Environmental Management from University of Twente, The Netherlands. Her research focused on the impacts of environmental degradation, as caused by recurring episodes of armed conflict, on communities’ vulnerabilities in north Lebanon. She also holds a Bachelor of Sciences degree in Biology and a Master of Sciences degree in Environmental Sciences from the University of Balamand in Lebanon. Sahar worked as a lecturer at the University of Balamand and Saint Joseph University of Beirut as well as an independent environmental consultant providing consultancy and technical support for different national and international institutions.
