Biography
Dr. Yasir Faheem is an Associate Professor of Cyber Security and Computer Science at the Canadian University Dubai, where he also serves as Program Coordinator for the BSc Cyber Security program. With over 14 years of international academic and research experience across the UAE, Pakistan, and France, he specializes in cybersecurity, computer networks, IoT systems, and AI-enabled digital infrastructures. He successfully led the preparation of the program’s ABET Self-Study Report and coordinated the visit of ABET Program Evaluators for the BSc Cyber Security program, overseeing documentation, curriculum alignment, and continuous-improvement processes.
His scholarly work appears in reputable IEEE and Elsevier journals, supported by competitive funding including Asi@Connect (EU–APAN) and HEC NRPU grants. Dr. Faheem has contributed to curriculum modernization, the development of new graduate programs, and the supervision of numerous undergraduate and postgraduate research projects. His current research focuses on secure IoT ecosystems, smart mobility, and generative AI–driven digital transformation, closely aligned with the UAE’s digital future and global sustainability priorities.
