The global pandemic may keep us from travelling afar. It may alter festive celebrations and activities, and it may make normal feel like a distant memory, but Canada is always close to our hearts.
Canada Day is Canada's birthday – a celebration of the union of its provinces - and this year, on July 1, Canada turned 153 years old!
CUD is proud to be your portal to Canadian Education and Lifestyle. Encompassing cosmopolitan cities like Toronto, Vancouver and Montreal, the immense natural beauty of the Rocky Mountains, and the peaceful existence of the maritime coast, Canada offers something for every way of life.
H.E. Jean-Philippe Linteau, Consul General of Canada in Dubai and the Northern Emirates sent his wishes to the CUD family Canada Day.
Message from the President
Prof. Karim Chelli sent his wishes to CUD students and honoured Canada as part of our community, values, and perspectives.
Music transcends any language and has the power to form social bonds. This Canada Day, we may have been physically distant, but we were able to come together through the power of music. Listen to an ensemble instrumental of the UAE national anthem and an acapella rendition of the Canadian national anthem.
The UAE national anthem is performed by a trio:
Pianist-Faisal Al Khani, CUD student
Violinist: Jude Kanawati, CUD alumni
Viola: Lance Alley, professional viola player
The Canadian anthem is sung by soloist Sandra Salloum
