November 13th. 2014: Canadian University Dubai has joined nearly 30 leading Canadian universities at this year's Study in Canada Fair, organized by the Embassy of Canada in the UAE as part of its Edu Canada MENA Tour 2014.
Hosted at the Shangri-La Hotel in Dubai, the event is one of the most important study fairs in the UAE education calendar. This year's fair was very well attended by students, parents and members of Canadian educational institutions including McGill University, the University of Waterloo and University of New Brunswick.
Canadian University Dubai's Student Affairs division was represented by Mr. Michael Todd, Student Placement and Career Services Manager and Sid Attou, Student Success Senior Officer. Michael delivered an exclusive Q&A session to a packed house of students and parents.
In his session Michael provided valuable insight into university life in Canada and gave advice on topics ranging from campus housing to surviving Canadian winters. Ana Margarita Ferro, Trade Commissioner for Education and organizer of the fair, expressed her thanks for the support from Canadian University Dubai Student Affairs division, noting that the session conducted by CUD was extremely well-attended.
This was reiterated by Sid, who said, "Student Affairs at CUD deals with a number of requests by students regarding studying, working and living in Canada. This was the perfect opportunity to engage with students and parents and help them with choosing the right Canadian university for them."
