CUD IEEE Student Branch Attend Workshop on Gesture Control

November 4, 2017 – Dubai, United Arab Emirates: CUD IEEE student branch visited The Assembly @in5 Innovation Hub in Dubai Internet City to partake in an innovative workshop on gesture control.

As part of the workshop, CUD IEEE members were introduced to HAND/OBJECT tracking through the use of a webcam as well as learning about a variety of programming platforms to train & develop gestures for technology that helps improve the quality of navigation for public-user interfaces such as public touch screens, or even in the process of automation for home users.

The Assembly is located at the innovation hub, in5 – situated in Dubai Knowledge Village. In5 provides an exceptional community location to the smart lab and has been created on top of the leading startup incubator in the region, which is also home of probably the most creative entrepreneurial community.
