CUD Launches Corporate Education Partnership Program

August 25th, 2016: Canadian University Dubai (CUD) has launched a new initiative that aims to promote and support employee education and work-related learning among the UAE workforce.

The new corporate education partnership program will see the university collaborate with organizations in government and industry to provide dedicated value-added services that will help businesses to promote continuing professional development and employees to access quality higher education and job-related training opportunities.

The initiative is set in the context of the UAE Vision 2021, the country’s strategic development plan launched by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai. It will contribute to one of the plan’s key pillars - to build a competitive knowledge-driven economy, by developing the talents of the workforce to help fuel innovation and entrepreneurship among both national and expat workers.

Employees of organizations that become members of the partnership will be able to access fee concessions on CUD undergraduate, graduate and corporate training programs, as well as a variety of academic scholarship opportunities. They will also receive a range of personalized services that will provide the key to success for professional learners.

Launching the initiative, Executive Director of Community Outreach and Corporate Relationships, Mr. Brain Banford, said, “One of our core values at CUD is to support the development of UAE society, as part of our corporate and social responsibility. This new education partnership program demonstrates the University’s commitment to serving our community at large, by promoting a culture of lifelong learning that will help develop the UAE's future knowledge workers.”
