CUD Professor Leads Debate on the Future of Design

December 6th, 2015: Mr. Massimo Imparato, Assistant Professor in the School of Architecture and Interior Design at Canadian University Dubai (CUD), has been leading the debate on the future of design at a regional summit held recently in Dubai.

As both an academic and a practitioner in the field, Mr. Imparato was called upon by the organizers of the Leaders in Design MENA Summit to moderate a panel discussion on Shaping the Future of Design at the annual industry professionals’ forum.

Mr. Imparato was at the helm of the debate surrounding the changing trends in design, and the future direction of the sector. Leading a discussion among professionals from across the design world, he introduced the concept of architecture as a driver for change, stimulating a though-provoking exchange of ideas on how architecture can anticipate changes, and the tools that are most effective in achieving new design objectives.

The Leaders in Design MENA event has established itself as an important platform for interior design professionals to meet and discuss the latest global market trends. Mr. Imparato’s contribution to the event demonstrates the role of higher education as a strategic player in the future direction of the industry.
