Important Information for Undergraduates Spring 2011

The first day of Spring 2011 classes is January 30, 2011.

Undergraduate Spring 2011 Spring Semester Registration Hours of Operation:

  • January 30 Gymnasium 9:00AM - 6:00PM
  • February 1 Gymnasium 9:00AM - 6:00PM
  • February 2 Gymnasium 9:00AM - 6:00PM
  • February 3 Gymnasium 9:00AM - 6:00PM
  • February 4 Gymnasium 9:00AM - 6:00PM

After February 4, Enrolment Services 9:00AM - 6:00PM

Undergraduate students are eligible to register for 2011 Spring classes when:

  1. You are a CUD student and have a CUD ID card.
  2. Your student account payable balance covers the cost of your Spring 2011 registration or you have a credit balance to cover the cost of registration. Please ensure you are in good financial standing with the University.
  3. You are in good academic standing. Your accumulated grade point average is above 2.0. Should you have concerns, please discuss your academic progress with the Dean of your program.
  4. You will meet or have met the pre-requisite requirements of the 2011 Spring courses by the end of the 2010 Fall semester. If you do not meet the pre-requisite requirements, you must drop the 2011 Spring course.
  5. You have completed a registration form. Registration forms are available from the Enrolment Services.
  6. You have met with your academic advisor and understand how to best make progress towards degree completion. Please have the registration form signed by your academic advisor. Review the program plan of study (schools and programs)

NOTES:

  • All fees are subject to change and the fee amounts billed for this period may be adjusted at a future date.
  • The Class Schedule is subject to change.
  • If a section is full or a course is not listed in the schedule, please file a registration for the course with the Enrolment Services. The University will deliver an unlisted course or section when the required resources are available and sufficient demand warrants a new section or course.

Undergraduate students must complete course and section changes by the following dates:

  • Thursday, February 10: Last day to add and drop 15-week undergraduate courses and sections without financial penalty (last day of Week 2 of classes). Financial penalties apply after this date based on the type of course.
  • Thursday, March 3: Last day to drop a 15-week undergraduate course(s) without failure (academic penalty). Should you drop one course, a failing grade will be assigned. If you drop all courses, you will not fail your courses. Apply to Suspend Studies or Withdraw from the University.
  • Thursday, March 27: Last to apply to Suspend Studies or Withdraw from the University (drop all courses) without failure.

Undergraduate students who will apply to change their major

  • Apply for the new program by Monday, March 21 2011

Undergraduate 2011 Spring semester examinations

  • Mid-term examinations will be held from March 13 to March 19
  • Final examinations will be held from May 14 to May 25

The last day of the 2011 Spring semester is May 25.

The first day of Summer 1 is Sunday, May 29.
