Interior Design Students Display Impressive Graduation Presentations

May 14th, 2018: Jorge Rangle from Rangle Interiors and Nazali Muzyka from Scale Interiors were part of a jury that judged projects created by fourth-year students from the Department of Interior Design.

The projects ranged from a time banking centre for the young to learn from the elderly, a centre of hope for Syrian refugees, and an urban farming concept, to a rehabilitation centre for young offenders.

The jury commented positively on the range of interesting ideas and the overall quality of the presentations. Three of the students were approached for internships.

Speaking after the event, Ms. Sophie Johnson, Assistant Professor, said that the graduates of 2018 had produced very high-quality final projects covering a range of topics relevant to interior design. She hoped their work would add value to their portfolios and enhance their employment prospects.

There was a sense of pride from the students this year, which was wonderful to see. This was all the more important as parents and family were also invited to celebrate the students’ success.
