The workshop was conducted by experts from Canadian University Dubai
April 3rd, 2017: Twenty heads of units/departments from Kuwait University attended a five-day Executive Management Workshop conducted by Canadian University Dubai (CUD) recently. The course consisted of 3 modules: Time & Quality Management, Administrative Quality Management and Leadership and Management: Bridging the Gap.
Speaking at the certificate presentation ceremony, Dr. Karim Chelli, President of CUD, stressed the key attributes of Canadian education system – prioritising education and lifelong learning, in line with the UNESCO education strategy.
Congratulating the participants Dr. Chelli remarked that the learning modules covered in the workshop were highly relevant in global business world, and expressed the hope that the program would lead to greater interaction between CUD and Kuwait University.
The modules on Time & Quality Management and Administrative Quality Management were delivered by Dr. Marc Poulin, a professor of Operations Management at CUD for Graduate Studies, who has extensive experience as Business Consultant, Mass Customization Consultant and Senior Supply Chain Consultant.
The module on ‘Leadership and Management: Bridging the Gap’ was delivered by Mr. Eric Koeman, a dynamic international management consultant driving capability and building brands and sales for many Fortune 500 companies.
The participating senior level employees from Kuwait University expressed utmost satisfaction with the program. Nadia Alalimi, head of unit at College of Architecture, described the workshop as highly useful for raising the bar on quality management and leadership. She said similar programs would be held in future in collaboration with CUD.
Abdulwahab Almuhana, head of unit, Medical Sciences Sector, said the workshop was very helpful and informative and added that the tools presented would help him upgrade his skills, especially in the field of time management.
