September 1st, 2015: Canadian University Dubai was abuzz with excitement this week as faculty and staff welcomed hundreds of new undergraduate and postgraduate students for their first semester of studies at the University.
The opening day of the 2015-16 academic year saw a full house pack into the Red Theatre to be welcomed by University President, Dr. Karim Chelli, and hear from Canadian Consul General, His Excellency Mr. Emmanuel Kamarianakis, about the exciting and challenging journey ahead.
The orientation session also introduced students to the University's academic practices, support services, and campus facilities, and gave them the opportunity to meet senior students as well as faculty members from their respective schools.
The event marked a further expansion of the University's diverse student body, which currently includes citizens of more than 100 nations. It also highlighted the consistent credibility and growing popularity of programs across each of its academic schools.
