April 15th, 2015: The recent Spring Break saw students, along with faculty and staff members from across Canadian University Dubai (CUD) head to the heart of Bohemia for a fun-packed getaway to the historic city of Prague.
Bachelor of Communication in Journalism student Ada Siddique exercised her writing skills to file a report on the memorable trip.
She writes:
Student and staff members from Canadian University Dubai had the chance to visit the city of Prague, in the Czech Republic, for their Spring break.
The 5 day trip took place in the first week of the break, from 27th to 31st March. It was coordinated by the Student Services and, 'Mice Minds' a travel agency situated in Dubai.
Student Services Manager Mary Alison Lyman was one of the organizers of the second European trip of Canadian University Dubai, in which all students from any year or any program could participate. The group consisted of 17 students from several nationalities and also included 4 staff members.
"This is my first time in Europe, and I'm very excited" said Leen Karim a 3rd year student from Syria who studies Advertising.
"I loved the city and I would definitely go again for longer" said 3rd year Engineering student, Ali Ahmad from Pakistan.
The group took part in several unique activities, including an evening cruise, City walk and Segway tours, a visit to a Glass Factory and lastly, a Medieval dinner, which gave the students and staff members an unforgettable experience of the picturesque city of Prague.
