Nov 14-18, 2017, d3 Waterfront, Dubai Design District: Students from CUD’s Robotics Club
The Robotics Club had arranged a visit to The Global Grad Show, during the Dubai Design Week 2017, held at Dubai Design District. It was a world-first exhibition bringing together works from the most innovative universities across the globe and showcasing the next generation of design. Over 90 universities representing 40+ countries were involved; These elite educational institutions, provided a unique learning opportunity for the students.
It was one of the world’s largest student gatherings, and featured over 200 graduate projects grouped under the themes of Connect, Empower and Sustain. The exhibition mainly showcased inventions that would make everyday life run with more simplicity and convenience for every generation.
The Global Grad Show provided an unprecedented overview of what the world’s emerging designers are working on and a first glimpse at the technologies that will shape our future.
Universities from as far away as USA, Turkey, Italy and the UK were represented.
Speaking about the show, Mehak Fatima Ashfaq, President of the Robotics Club said the trip had been arranged for the club members, to get inspired and stay informed about the new inventions exhibited to the world and use these ideas, to start building their own inventions in the future.
