As part of the (ENV 407) Management of Domestic and Hazardous Waste, students from the course visited Dubai Municipality’s Hazardous and Medical Waste Treatment Facility accompanied by Engr. Rashed Karkain.
This visit expanded tstudent's knowledge and understanding of proper management of hazardous waste at source in addition to its environmentally acceptable treatment and safe disposals.
Treatment technologies and monitoring systems were also demonstrated and discussed with students.
