April 9, 2018, Hall B Atrium: The results of the Imaginarium Design Competition were announced at an awards ceremony attended by Mr. Buti Saeed Al Ghandi, University Chancellor, Dr. Karim Chelli, President and Vice Chancellor of the University, faculty and students.
The ceremony was hosted by Dr. Julia Finnegan, Head of the Creative Industries Department, Faculty of Communication, Arts and Sciences, who outlined the purpose of the competition: to create an opportunity for students to explore and develop entrepreneurial skills in a supportive environment.
Dr. Julia thanked the members of the Interior Design and Architecture Departments for their support with the students’ proposals. She explained that the entries were designed by students for students. A total of 15 entries were submitted and six made it through to the final round.
Dr. Julia presented a slideshow of the final entries, each one with a different theme.
After the presentation, Mr. Charles Fazon, Dean of the Faculty of Communication and Design, Ryerson University announced the results of the competition. He congratulated all the participants and said he was excited to see such hard work and energy being displayed at such a dynamic university.
