CUD partners with 10ten to launch coding bootcamp

23rd August, 2018: Canadian University Dubai (CUD) and the Dubai-based tech company, 10ten, are set to launch a new Coding Bootcamp that can advance participants’ skills from enthusiastic amateur to junior developer in just 15 working days.

Launching this September, the Caribou Development Bootcamp aims to help tech enthusiasts to hone their programming skills, and to boost tech-based entrepreneurship in the UAE. The program is delivered in three consecutive phases, each lasting five working days.

Loïc Tosser, program tutor and Co-Founder of 10ten, said, “This Bootcamp is ideal for anyone who has a genuine interest in coding and is looking for a career boost into a more technically focussed role.

“What’s more, for fresh graduates or even those looking for a complete career change, it is an outstanding opportunity to develop the right blend of skills to land a job as a junior developer, or another entry level tech role. It is also a great platform for aspiring entrepreneurs who are thinking of launching a tech start-up.”

Throughout the three phases of the program, students will discover how to automate business routines, launch their own app, and enhance user experience and integration. They will also learn to use professional tools like GitHub/GitLab, and explore the workflows that many start-ups and software companies are using around the world.

Professor David Santandreu, Dean of the Faculty of Communication, Arts and Sciences at CUD said, “Our goal in bringing this Bootcamp to Dubai is to meet the growing demand for specialized training in this high-tech, high-value industry.

“The UAE is strategically positioned to be a world-leader in smart-technology and to realize this ambition we need to ensure that the relevant skills and talent are available. Our collaboration with 10ten brings some of the best coding practitioners in the business to help tech enthusiasts in Dubai to develop the skills to enter this exciting and lucrative business.”

Participants can choose to take one or two levels, or to complete the entire three-week Bootcamp, which begins on September 9th at CUD.
