November 19th, 2018, Hall B CUD: A record number of competitors took part in CUD’s Annual High School Robotics Competition organized by the Department of Electrical Engineering.
A total of 44 students representing ten teams from four leading High Schools in Dubai took part in a fiercely fought competition over three stages.
The overall competition was won by “Do Smart” from The New Academy School. Runners up were “Trial and Error” from Pristine Private School. In third place was Team Infinity, also from Pristine Private School.
Judges for the event were Farouk Dalhatu, a senior engineering student and Chairman of the Robotics Club and Dr. Zaid El Khatib, Assistant Professor in the Engineering Department.
Dr. Sherif Moussa, Head of the Department of Engineering and founder of the Robotics Club congratulated the Club on running such a successful event, looking forward to the competition being repeated many times in the future.
