On February 27, 2021, Dr. Ahmed Moussa, Global Lead of Go-To-Market Transformation at Sanofi Global, participated in Canadian University Dubai’s (CUD) Faculty of Management’s Speaker Series as a Guest Speaker to MBA students. The topic of discussion was physician sentiment and industry engagement.
Dr. Ahmed joined Sanofi 14 years ago with a breadth of experience; from medical representative to marketing manager within different therapy areas. His previous assignment was as Business Unit Head for the Cardiovascular and Established Products Unit.
Dr. Ahmed holds a Master’s degree in business and administration from Leicester University in the United Kingdom and a Bachelor's degree in pharmaceutical sciences from Ain Shams University in Egypt.
During the class, students had the opportunity to discuss the agile scrum methodology and how it is evolving. They also learned about the role of a scrum master and the different agile ceremonies.
In an interactive discussion, the students were taught about the differences between the traditional marketing methodology and the agile scrum methodology, its implications and return on investment. They also learned about how the COVID-19 pandemic triggered this model change and how it has been proven to be an advantage during these uncertain times.
"By adopting an agile approach, we can co-create a journey and make it evolve as we progress. It creates opportunities for testing and redefining based on inputs from internal and external sources,” shared Dr. Ahmed.
