November 26, 2025, Dubai, United Arab Emirates (UAE): Canadian University Dubai proudly celebrates the achievement of Ibrahim Ahmed, a senior student in the Bachelor of Science in Cybersecurity program and President of the CUD Cybersecurity Students Club, who secured 1st place in the Dubai Police Capture the Flag (CTF) 2025 competition – University Track.
Hosted in Dubai, this year’s CTF drew exceptional talent from universities across the UAE, with 883 participants competing in the final stage. The event culminated in a rigorous 10-hour on-site round, where finalists faced 50 advanced challenges spanning areas such as cryptography, web exploitation, and other key cybersecurity domains.
Dr. Tamer Mohamed, Chair of the Department of Computer Engineering and Computational Sciences, commended the victory:
