February 5, 2026, Dubai, United Arab Emirates (UAE): Students from the School of Management at Canadian University Dubai took part in a two-day Odoo ERP workshop held on 24–25 January 2026, hosted by the American University of Sharjah. The workshop brought together students from approximately ten universities across the UAE, creating an environment for inter-university exchange, collaboration, and experiential learning.
The intensive workshop consisted of three sessions per day and focused on hands-on training using the Odoo ERP platform, an open-source Enterprise Resource Planning system used by organisations to manage and integrate core business functions through a single system. Through practical exercises and system-based demonstrations, students explored key ERP modules and gained insight into how integrated business processes operate within real organisational environments, applying theoretical concepts to real-world business scenarios.
For participating students, the workshop provided a valuable opportunity to strengthen digital competencies, develop problem-solving skills, and gain exposure to the use of industry-standard ERP systems within an applied learning setting.
Such initiatives reflect Canadian University Dubai’s continued focus on providing academically grounded, practice-oriented learning opportunities for its students.
