Canadian University Dubai Launches future-focused programs in AI, smart technology and engineering

June 9, 2026, Dubai, United Arab Emirates (UAE): Canadian University Dubai (CUD) has launched a portfolio of new programs across disciplines in Artificial Intelligence (AI), smart technology and advanced engineering to equip students with the skills needed to shape the future of industry. Aligned with the UAE’s strategic priorities in technology, sustainability, digital transformation, and ESG-driven innovation, the new programs strengthen CUD’s position at the forefront of future-focused education, while preparing graduates for the rapidly evolving demands of the global economy. 

Among the newly introduced programs are the Bachelor of Science in Environmental Sciences and Sustainability, alongside the Master of Science and Postgraduate Diploma in Environmental Artificial Intelligence, reflecting Canadian University Dubai's commitment to preparing graduates for the sustainability-driven economy of the future. The bachelor's program provides students with a strong interdisciplinary foundation in environmental science, climate change, sustainability systems, environmental policy, and data-driven decision-making, with specialized pathways in Climate Change Mitigation and Adaptation and Sustainable Development and Systems. Complementing this offering, the graduate programs in Environmental Artificial Intelligence combine sustainability with advanced technologies such as artificial intelligence, machine learning, geospatial technologies, and data analytics to equip students with the expertise needed to address complex challenges related to climate change, biodiversity, resource management, and environmental monitoring. Together, these programs align with the UAE's sustainability agenda and the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, reinforcing CUD's position at the forefront of educating the next generation of sustainability leaders, innovators, and changemakers. 

CUD has also launched two innovative programs within the School of Management: the Bachelor of Business Administration in Business Analytics and the Master of Science in Financial Technology. The Industrial and Engineering Management program aligns with national priorities in smart manufacturing, logistics, and operational innovation, offering specialization pathways in Smart Manufacturing and Industry Systems and Logistics and Supply Chain Engineering.
