July, 2026, Dubai, United Arab Emirates (UAE): Behavioral Sciences students from the School of Psychology at Canadian University Dubai (CUD) developed practical clinical skills through structured simulated interviews designed to recreate realistic clinical scenarios.
Led by Dr. Mohammad Nami, Associate Professor in the School of Psychology at CUD, the simulated learning activity gave students the opportunity to conduct interviews while their peers observed and evaluated their performance from a dedicated observation suite. The approach enabled students to explore effective communication techniques, reflect on their performance, and learn by observing their classmates.
By combining simulation, peer observation, and reflection, the experience supported the development of empathy, critical thinking, effective communication, and professional confidence. It also helped students connect classroom knowledge with its practical application in behavioral science and mental healthcare practice.
The activity reflects CUD’s commitment to experiential learning and preparing students to apply their academic knowledge with confidence, sensitivity, and professionalism.
