UNB Reveals Overseas Study Option for CUD Students

December 7th, 2016: Dr. Shelley Rinehart, MBA Director at the University of New Brunswick (UNB), Canada, has hosted a presentation for Canadian University Dubai (CUD) students looking to take advantage of the institutions’ transfer partnership arrangements.

UNB is the oldest English language university in Canada, with campuses in Fredericton and Saint John, New Brunswick. It has over 11,000 students and offers opportunities for CUD students to transfer to undergraduate programs in business disciplines or to embark upon an MBA at UNB.

During the presentation, Dr. Rinehart gave an overview of the business programs and their key features, revealing that UNB is renowned for its small class sizes; with an average of 16:1, it is expected that faculty members know every student by name.

She said, “Our BBA offers the co-op option to help gain work experience, so typically students can study full-time in the first year, work one term in the second and two in the third year and back to full time study in the final year.”

Going on to discuss the University’s flagship MBA program, she said, “Our MBA has small classes, is personalized, and largely case and experiential learning based.”

The presentation was followed by a lively Q&A session, with a number of students showing interest in the UNB MBA programs and enquiring about the application process.
