Biography
Dr. Mohamed Behery embarked on his academic career as a Lecturer of Management, teaching for five years following the completion of his BSc in Business Administration from the Faculty of Commerce, Menoufia University, in 1995. He earned his MBA in 1997. In 2005, Dr. Behery obtained his PhD in Management from the University of Glasgow, UK, a prestigious institution ranked among the top 100 universities globally and recognized with Triple Crown accreditation (AACSB, AMBA, and EQUIS), underscoring its excellence in business education.
From 2006 to 2009, Dr. Behery served as an Assistant Professor of Management at the University of Dubai's Dubai Business School, where he actively contributed to the university's AACSB accreditation process. He later joined Abu Dhabi University, UAE, from February 2010 to July 2015, where he was promoted to Associate Professor and was again involved in securing AACSB accreditation for the institution.
In August 2015, Dr. Behery returned to Menoufia University’s Faculty of Commerce, where he was promoted to Professor of Management. During this time, he also served as the coordinator for the College of Business’s English Section and was subsequently appointed as Associate Dean for Environmental Affairs and Community Service.
Dr. Behery rejoined the University of Dubai in January 2019, where he currently holds the position of Senior Associate Professor of Management in the Dubai Business School. Starting January 6th 2025, he has commenced a new chapter in his career by joining the esteemed Canadian University in Dubai. He teaches across undergraduate, MBA, DBA, and PhD programs and has received several teaching awards throughout his career. His teaching portfolio includes a range of subjects such as Central Issues in Human Resource Management, International Human Resource Management, Leadership, Corporate Performance Management (Balanced Scorecard), Leading Change and Innovation, & Organizational Behaviour.
Dr. Behery's research focuses on leadership, human resource management, and organizational behavior, with numerous publications in prestigious ADBC and SCOPUS-indexed journals. He has also supervised several MSc, DBA, and PhD students. In addition to his academic contributions, Dr. Behery actively participates in the University of Dubai’s Center for Executive Development, delivering training sessions for prominent clients such as Dubai Police, Abu Dhabi Police, DEWA, and Dubai Customs.
