Roots is a research institute for rare plants situated within the United Arab Emirates which will house an educational centre preserving plants and biodiversity, especially aiming to protect endangered plants. The design concept emerged from plant and tree roots which is considered to be the most important part of a plant. The roots suck the water and nutrients out of the soil and into plant. The thickness of a root is responsible for the strength of the plant. The research institute resembles the concept through its name, color scheme, layout, and interior environment. The design concept utilizes the organic aspect and the root design organizing and planning the environment based on these aspects.
