- 1.2. The Faculty of Communication, Arts and Sciences invites applications for a full-time, Assistant Professor in Public Relations to begin August 2018.
- Applicants must demonstrate sufficient academic qualifications and professional experience in the field. This position will teach undergraduate courses in public relations, marketing for public relations, media & communication studies, and will supervise students’ projects in public relations.
- The successful candidate will be expected to teach a full load of courses, take an active role in the department by pursuing a program of research and scholarly activity, develop and update curricula, organise activities and events related to the discipline and serve on faculty and university committees.

Required Education
- Completed Ph.D. from an accredited university in public relations.
- Professional experience in public relations field, whether in an agency, corporate, non-profit, or similar capacity.
- College-level teaching experience.
- Demonstrated research agenda in public relations.
- Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse student population.
Preferred Qualifications
- Active professional involvement in public relations professional organizations.
- Contacts with industry leaders and ability to expand university-industry partnerships.
- Evidence of experience with course development.
- Recent professional experience.
- Proficient in English and Arabic.
