Canadian University of Dubai to Host First IEEE Conference on Open Access to Education and Learning

The IEEE Steering Committee on Learning Technologies has approved the launch of its first International Conference on Open Access to Education at the Canadian University Dubai in April 2014. The IEEE is the world's largest professional association for the advancement of technology, with millions of members in over 160 countries. This is a great honour for the University, as this is the first time an IEEE conference will be held in the United Arab Emirates. This conference will have more than four hundred participants and will attract some of the best keynote speakers in the world.

This conference is in addition to the 6th Joint IFIP Wireless and Mobile Networking Conference being held April 23rd-25th 2013. IFIP is the International Federation for Information Processing with over 500,000 members in 56 countries.

The Canadian University Dubai would like to take this opportunity to thank the Office of Research Services for all of their hard work in securing this conference, and wish them the best moving forward.
