20th-28th October, 2018: A delegation of faculty and staff including Admissions Manager Emilio Giuliani, Student Recruitment Specialist Kristen Benford and Dean of Communication Arts and Sciences, Prof. David Santandreu Calogne, embarked on a trip to the People’s Republic of China.
They were there to launch CUD’s outreach to China as part of their international recruitment initiative at the 2018 China Education Expo. Over 50,000 visitors were present, a great number of them interested in studying at CUD.
The delegation moved from city to city, spreading the word about CUD’s programs, including Transfer to Canada. They began at Beijing, moving south to Chengdu, then Guangzhou, and their final destination, Shanghai.
CUD expects that China will be a stepping stone for a much bigger international recruitment initiative that will reach out to the Philippines, India, Pakistan, Nigeria, Kazakhstan, and many other lucrative recruitment hotspots across the globe.
Admissions Manager Emilio Giuliani said that: “we have always had international students who are living in the UAE where they study and graduate at CUD, then move back and find work in their home countries. The only thing we were lacking was awareness about the opportunity of coming to study abroad, and that’s the main purpose of our initiative.”
Canadian University Dubai hopes that this new initiative will attract prospective students from all around the world, expand CUD’s recognition as a key educational centerpiece in the Middle East, and cement relations with educational ministries and agents from various countries across the globe.
