Dubai, October 28, 2019: Thirty-one leading universities from Canada showcased their higher education programs at EduCanada Fair, an event organized by the Canadian Embassy and hosted at Canadian University Dubai (CUD) recently.
H.E. Marcy Grossman, Canadian Ambassador to the UAE, inaugurated the event and highlighted the unparalleled higher education opportunities offered by Canadian universities and the high standards of Canadian institutions. She urged the assembled students to compare the offerings and make informed decisions about studying in Canada or at Canadian University Dubai.
David Allison, best-selling Canadian author, while addressing the Special Opening Seminar, spoke about the global shifts are changing our understanding of how people behave. “We all have desires to belong to something larger than ourselves. If we change the way we look at the world, we can connect minds and create a future based on the values we share, instead of outdated demographic stereotypes that don’t work.”
Sylvain Tremblay, the renowned Canadian painter, wowed the audience with a live painting of Mona Lisa at the auditorium within a few minutes.
The event was organised to enhance CUD’s credibility and prestige as the portal to Canadian education in the region. A large number of students and parents attended the fair and networked with representatives from the different Canadian universities.
