CUD MBA Alumni wins Best Emirati Employee in Private Sector Award

Mohammed Sabt, a recent Canadian University Dubai MBA graduate, currently employed by HSBC, was honoured by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, United Arab Emirates Vice President and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai as the Best Emirati Employee in the Private Sector.

Sabt, pictured below on the right with Abdulfattah Sharaf, HSBC Group General Manager, Chief Executive Officer UAE, and Head of International, said, “this award was an acknowledgment of all my hard work, a boost of confidence, and a strong motivation to give more and work harder. CUD challenged me to think creatively and be resourceful.”

Sabt credits his work with international classmates in a supportive and healthy environment with enriching his experience and understanding of diverse communication. Sabt contributes his CUD/MBA courses to his success in the industry; he notes the transferrable skills that benefited his career such as the ability to analyze large amounts of information and the ability to create smart financial solutions for his corporate clients.

With bright career goals, Sabt plans to expand his knowledge in various areas to acquire a leadership role. 

The Best Emirate in Private Sector award is organized by the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratization and was awarded in February 2020 at the Presidential Palace in Abu Dhabi.
