October 29th, 2018, : Four university teams including our CUD ladies, competed at the American University Dubai in the inter-universities Ladies Volleyball Tournament.
The event was hosted under the banner of “Sports Unite Us” and spectators were treated to a keenly fought competition.
The CUD team, led by Captain Riham Sabri Omar, comprised ten ladies who had been training non-stop throughout the semester for this event.
CUD Sports Coordinator, Mr. Dusan Popovic said that “You could see that they enjoyed every aspect of the competition. Their competitive spirit was strong and they were giving their all for the University.”
They achieved 3rd place, having narrowly missed out on the final but they took home two magnificent trophies as well as a certificate of appreciation from the organizers. Each team member was also awarded a medal to mark their contribution to CUD’s participation at the tournament.
