September 24th, 2018: The smell of popcorn and the crackling of empty soda cups spread throughout the Red Theatre between the hours of 6 and 9 as students from all around the university gathered to watch “The Conjuring 2”, sharing the suspense and horror together as the movie was projected on the theater’s massive screen.
Throughout the night, there was also a variety of other performances. A group dance was performed by the University’s Dance Club, followed by a musical performance by CUD’s Music Club.
Various funny videos were also displayed on the theatre’s big screen. The entire event couldn’t have been possible without contributions from CUD’s audio/visual technician, Mohammad Reza.
Students described the event as refreshing and entertaining, a good way to end their long day of classes, relax with friends, and watch an exciting movie, and it shows, as the Red Thearer was completely packed by the time the showing started.
CUD will be running regular movie nights throughout the year to provide students with entertainment and relaxation following a long study day.
Watch our screens for the next event.
