September 25th, 2018: As a part of their mission to promote dental health awareness, Mint Dental Care, a Dubai-based clinic visited our campus for free dental consultations, offer gift vouchers, and provide specialist advice. The event was coordinated and organized by the clinic’s Dr. Sravan Kumar, in cooperation with Canadian University Dubai.
Alongside Dr. Sravan were a team of other professional dentists, as well as several experienced dental nurses. As a part of the event, students and staff were provided with a free consultation which was delivered in three stages. First there were general health checks such as blood pressure and heart rate. This was followed by an examination by a general dentist, who provided a check-up on tooth decay, gum disease, and any odor problems. Finally they were seen by Dr. Reji Moideen, an Orthodontics specialist who examined their teeth for misalignment to find if they needed braces or other methods of correction.
The event was well attended with people lining up to receive their free consultations and leaving with a smile as they held their E-voucher, which entitled them to up to 50% off on various dental operations which they might need.
