About the Design
The 'Fallen Wings' sculpture emphasises a lost connection between the earth and the sky. Structured by metal wires and covered by white cloth, the organic biomorphic shape expresses the flight and how light can bond humans with the sky.

Using a specific language, the sculpture also has to respond to the relationship between light, knowledge and imagination. Everything that the object is expressing is strongly represented by the similarities between flying and gaining knowledge. The shape changes in relation with the angle that is viewed, a feature that gives it different perceptions and different meanings.

The materiality of the structure was chosen in a way that light and shadow will create a completely different ambiance than the already existing one which is mostly geometrical. In the end combining these two opposite types of forms and shapes, the 'Fallen Wings' captures the uniqueness of intersections between natural and artificial.
