FEAST hosts guest seminar on intelligent networks for emerging communication technologies

Sunday, November 7, 2021: The Faculty of Engineering, Applied Science, and Technology (FEAST) at Canadian University Dubai (CUD) welcomed Dr. Lamia Chaari, Professor of Computer Science and Multimedia Higher Institute, Institut Supérieur d'Informatique et de Multimédia de Sfax (ISIMS, Sfax University) and head of the Intelligent Networks and Telecommunication Protocols for Emerging Communication Technologies Team (INTELLECT-Team), Digital Research Center of Sfax, to present her recent research activities to the University Community in a seminar at our Al Bada’a Campus.

In her presentation, Dr. Lamia detailed her focus on 5G and 6G Networks including network slicing, resources management and self-organizing networks and remote monitoring of connected physical systems, specifically smart water grid, structural health monitoring, and Unmanned Aerial Vehicles.

Speaking to the occasion, Dr. Adel Ben Mnaouer, Professor, Faculty of Engineering, Applied Science, and Technology, Canadian University Dubai said: “We are pleased to have hosted Dr. Lamia Chaari and thank her for providing our students with an alternative perspective on such diverse topics.
